Piano

I have been searching everywhere to find this piano.. Vera loved playing with it at my Mommy and Me class. I just had to get her one for home but could not find it anywhere. I have spent too much money trying to buy replacements but they didn't do the trick. I found this piano when I was not looking yesterday! Made me a very happy Mom and even happier when she played with it like she did before! WHORAY

Proud Momma....

Vera is on her way to crawling. She is on all fours now! She is just happy to be off her belly during "belly time". She rocks back and forth but no crawling yet.. I want her to wait until Clay gets back from his training so he doesn't miss it! I was so excited I just had to eat her up!

Memorial Day Greeting

Vera and I would like to thank all the service members who have fought or are fighting now for our country! I am so proud to be an American!
We are very proud of Clay and what he has done for this beautiful country....

Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend the family went to Georgia. We took a trip to visit our old neighbor from Colorado and great friend, Phil. We had a blast! Her are some pictures of our trip!

Haircut

Vera got a professional haircut in her own kitchen! I can't believe I had to cut Vera's hair again. She was getting another mullet so I was just going to cut the back off... But, if anyone has had there hair cut by me before they know I can get a little scissor happy and creative! I decided to give Vera her first BOB! Dad is devastated because it makes her look TOO BIG.....
She did a great job during her haircut and to top it off SHE SAID MOMMA!!!!!!
She is a talker! She stopped me in my tracks when she said Momma. Clay was a witness! Next I am going to teach her supercalifragilisticexpialidocious........

Mommy's day out

I planned a Mommy's Day Out today with some friends. Jen and her daughter, Maggie, Jess and her daughter, Makenna, and Brooke. We went to lunch and painted some pottery. We had a great time and can't wait to see the end projects!

p.s. If anyone is interested in what I did for a living before Vera arrived check out Making the Cut on TLC. I was an educator at the Aveda Institute which is the rival school to Vidal Sassoon. Our days were just like that! FUN FUN FUN

6 month well checkup

Vera had her well checkup today. She loves Daddy's flag on his uniform so we were playing around with it on her diaper.


She is a very healthy baby. She had to get more shots and cried. It is so hard to see your baby in pain like that.
The best news we got was that her heart sounded great, no murmor! She is getting so big too.
Weight 18.5 pounds 90%tile
Length is 26 inches 50%tile
Head circumference is at 18.5 inches >100%
We always joke around that our daughter has a big head. Big head means she has a smart brain. The doctor assured us that her big head is fine. She has consistantly had a big head and Mom and Dad have big heads which is hereditary.
She is napping off her shots and hopefully will wake up like nothing ever happened!

6 months old

While I was in town I took Vera for her 6 month pictures. We went to The Red Studio in Lebanon. She did a fantastic job! I would recommend anyone who lives in Ohio to take your child there! She did a great job and I had a hard time picking my favorite picture. I can't wait to go again when she is mobile!

Cousins

My Mom broke her foot a few weeks ago so bad that she is bound to a wheel chair for 4 weeks. She needed some TLC so asked if she could fly Vera and I out to see her. She figured a flight cost the amount of color, haircut and a good house cleaning. I was able to help her out and Vera cheered her up and a bonus was seeing Jaycie. Here are some pictures of William, Ella, Vera and Jaycie all together for the first time. It was so fun hanging out together in Jaycie's new room. I hope they will all be good friends like we are today!

Jaycie Bernice

I finally got to see Jaycie. She is more beautiful in person than in the pictures! She looks just like her Daddy. Vera is not too interested in her but is enjoying her nap in Jaycie's crib!
Carrie looks great too!

Good Luck

Our good friend, Bridget is leaving this weekend for a third trip to Iraq. We have known her since flight school in 2002. My Mom is going to watch her dog, Hank for her while she is gone. We had to drop her off at the airport yesterday...
