Most of you know my sister-in-law, Kelly is an AMAZING baker. It was fitting for us to go to Carlos Bakery with her. It was on my "Connecticut" bucket list and I'm so glad I got to do it with her. We waited in line for an hour to get inside! We bought over $100 in cupcakes, cookies, lobster rolls, canoles and the list goes on and on..! They live up to their name, DELICIOUS!

The adults were supposed to go on a three day backpacking trip when Nash and Kelly were in town, but due to my recent gall bladder surgery we had to cancel. We made up for it with fun day trips including this one to Sleeping Giant Park. Grandma Carol stayed back with Charlie so we could hike to the castle. It was fun but HOT!

My Dad flew in for a few days while Nash, Kelly, Carol and the kids were in town. We took the train into the city and had a great dinner together at the famous Carmine's! I recommend to anyone who is visiting NYC to try out this restaurant...Amazing.

4th of july

We have been so blessed with wonderful friends in Connecticut. We took the family to our friends pool party and had a blast! Lots of swimming, eating and volleyball!!!!

Day 3: We did the tourist thing and took a tour bus around the city. The double decker was great minus the heat. We took the ferry over to the Statue of Liberty and while waiting we saw a few blackhawks fly over! Daddy says he flies down the Hudson River and passes the Statue of Liberty once a week! PRETTY COOL
