Life's a Beach!

Vera and I made it home from Florida to a cold and rainy Missouri. Dad was so happy to see us and thinks she grew in the week we were gone.
We had a great time in Florida. I hope you check out the video. This was taken right from the porch of our condo.....
We stayed very busy while we were in Florida. We had scheduled a family picture with a photographer on the beach but the weather was not cooperating. We did get pictures taken but at a park. They are not on the site yet but when they are posted I will inform everyone. Clay and I went to visit his Aunt and Uncle on Saturday night with his best friend and Vera's God Father, Chris. Vera's Great Grandma and Grandpa Dreyer came down to visit their grandkids for the weekend too. Clay had to leave on Monday to get back to class. The rest of the week was filled with beach days and pool days. My Grandma Johnson had a tea party for the girls too!
The plane ride was eventful. I traveled by myself on the way home which was interesting. I had a lot of nice people help me with the stroller which was nice. Vera did great on the plane. She just cried on the take off and landing because of her ears. She will be a veteran flyer soon. Her and I head to Cincinnati in two weeks!

Out of town...

Clay, Vera and I are heading to Florida tomorrow. It will be our first vacation with Vera. Her very first plane ride and trip to the beach. I will be returning on the 24th with plenty of pictures to post.

Happy Valentine's Day

Last year my husband came home from Iraq on Valentine's Day. I thought that was the best gift I could have ever received. I was wrong, Vera is the best gift. She has stolen our hearts!

3 months

Vera will be 3 Months old on Thursday! I can't believe how fast it has gone. She is doing so well and growing like a weed. She has doubled her birth weight and weighs 15 pounds! She is cooing up a storm and thinks she is so funny when we repeat her. She loves her hands and always looks like she is praying or going to eat them up! She sees her hands which is cute because she goes cross eyed staying at them. She is still mastering rolling over. We are working on getting that hair to stay down too. I posted the pictures on my Picasa, so click on the right and check them out!

Shedding...

To all those soon to be Mom's... Eat what you want now. Enjoy the fact that you have a baby growing inside you! It has been almost three months and I am more than halfway to my prepregnancy weight. I gained almost 55 pounds with Vera! With the help of the most precious gift of breast feeding, going to the gym everyday and eating right it is shedding off. I have to be careful and only loose 3 pounds a week to keep my milk supply going. I don't know when I will be back in my clothes and when my hips will revert back to there old selves but I am staying positive and I hope you soon to be Mom's enjoy it now!
Don't you just love the pictures of Clay with Vera... He is just obsessed with his baby girl! I thought they were cute because she is so cute and than Daddy is so rough with his big tatoos but a big softy when it comes to her.....

Our family is going on our first vacation in a few weeks to Florida. Clay went shopping for Vera and bought her some clothes along with a bathing suit and sun hat. We couldn't wait until the trip so we tried the bathing suit on her! Here is a sneak peak....

Baby bath night is a big deal at the Duncan house. It is our source of entertainment now that our live revolves around Miss Vera. Ganny Candy and Nana got to join in on the fun!

March Visit

Vera and I are going to be in Cincinnati March 7-11th. I will be staying at my Mom's house during my stay. I would love to see everyone. Please let me know if you want to get together so I can plan a schedule....

Help me sit seat

Granny Candy, Vera (Senior) and I had fun playing with Vera in her "help me sit seat" that Grandma Carol got her. She has such big expressions and these pictures don't do justice. She is getting so big she is now in 3-6 month clothes and filling them out.... I posted the pictures to the right on my picasa web album along with the rest of my photos.
