Another beautiful day in lower Alabama....

Sorry if people were having trouble voting on charlie's arrival. It is up and running now and I look forward to checking it out! Some helpful hints people have been asking for....
Charlie's due date: May 29th
doctor thinks he will be an 8 pounder....
Vera was induced on her due date and I was 2 centimeters for a few weeks prior....
Vera weighed 7pounds 3 ounces and was 20 inches.....

sick baby

Poor Vera is fighting a nasty cold this week. She has had a runny nose for almost two weeks. She started with a fever on Monday night and is still fighting it. We have been taking it easy around here. She does not have much of an appitite but who can resist a cookie (mommy was craving them)! Most of the week she has been resting on Mommy and Daddy, but this evening she decided to break out a dance for us!

I download all my picture onto a hard drive. I found some pictures BK (before kids) and thought I would share... It seems like yesterday we were praying for Clay's safe return from Iraq and now we are anxiously waiting our second baby. Time flies bye so fast sometimes it is nice to see old pics that remind you to slow down and enjoy life.......

We went to get maternity portraits taken tonight. Afterwards we went out to eat. Miss Vera is suffering from a cold and was tired.. Check out just how tired she was.................

Poor baby has sensitive skin like her Mommy. We are doing our best to clear it up and tonight we let her go comando! It helped a lot and we are hoping by tomorrow morning she will have her cute booty back! Here are some cute pics of Vera playing with her blocks!......

I don't know many people who can go to Target and not come out purchasing something! We went to help our friends buy some toys for their daughter and came out buying some for Miss V too. We could not resist....

Hey folks... Things are heating up down in lower Alabama. The temperature has reached the 80's and I think it will stay like that for many more months. The sunscreen and bug repellent is out! Time for the pool to open and head down to the beach!

My Mom made this for Vera and we added it to her door too!

For now they have their own rooms, but hopefully our next move when they are both sleeping through the night they can share a room! I loved have bunkbeds with my brother when we were young!

Our friends had this made for us at Charlie's baby shower for everyone to leave a special note. What a great keepsake!

doc appointment

Another doctor appointment this morning...
Everything is going well. I only gained one pound in two weeks, whoray! I am really tyring to watch my weight but still enjoy some pregnancy cravings (i.e. crispy creme donuts)!!
My only concern was the braxton hicks I have while I walk Vera. They don't hurt, but my tummy gets super tight a few times during our 2 mile stretch. She said not to worry, so I can keep walking but drink lots of water!

My brother, sister-in-law, and cousins are running the Flying Pig Marathon in Cincinnati in May. Clay and I wish we could join them but we will be busy having a baby! They are running in the relay portion for a good cause. A family that needs your help!
