Vera filled up her Reward Chart so she got to go on a date with Daddy! Vera and Clay went to Toys R Us for her to pick out a toy. And most of you can guess it was a My Little Pony.... and Daddy made sure to bring something home for Charlie too! Than it was off to the mall for several trips around the carousal and lunch together.
Daddy said she is such a chick magnet! Didn't help that she was covered in dress-up clothes too (and that my hubby is HOT)!
They had a great time and Vera is ready to start it all over again for another date with Daddy!

He melts my heart all the time! Something about a Mom and Son connection that I can't explain! He has a piece of my heart!

happy v-day

I was told on Friday to get a shower and pack an overnight bag and my Valentine's Day surprise was coming around naptime. I was so excited when my friend, Sally came to the door and whisked me away for the weekend. Clay and her twin boys watched the kiddos while we went to Florida. We got to eat out, stay up late chatting and SHOP!!! Sally was on a mission to find clothes that actually fit me! We had a great time and it was a much deserved break from my wonderful kids. The kids had a blast hanging out with Daddy and the twins. Sledding, watching tons of movies, playing video games and eating junk! Poor Daddy got pucked on 3 times during the night and didn't tell me until I got home because he knew I would rush home....
Clay got major bonus points for this Valentine's Day gift and I told him I'm not sure how he is going to top this next year?!?!?!

snow?????

I know my Ohio family and friends are like who cares snow we got tons of it... But, I live 30 miles from Florida and an hour from the beach..... So, when we get snow here it shuts down the whole town. Schools got called off the day before, streets shut down and even Fort Rucker let the soldiers go home early for less than four inches of snow.
We had a great time playing in the snow and watching the beautiful flakes fall! After naptime Clay took the kids sledding with a broken down box, creative!!!!
