happy veteran's day

"Let every nation, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe, to assure the survival and success of liberty."
John Fitzgerald Kennedy- Inagural Address

Clay was in a ceremony today in his Battalions adopted city, Andalusia. He did a terrific job! I cried through the whole thing...
THANK YOU TO ALL THE VETS, WIVES AND FAMILIES!

You're a great videographer Nadia. You captured the flavor of a great ceremony in only 5 minutes. The playing of "Taps" at the end was emotional; always gets me. Too many Americans take for granted what Vets did and continue to do to give us liberty. Thank you Captain and Mrs. Duncan for your sacrifices to our country...you are true Patriots. God bless the Duncan family!

Love,
Dad D

What a beautiful ceremony! Kudos to po-dunk Andalusia for putting that together. I got teary-eyed at the end. . .Taps chokes me up every time. We wish we could've gone to this with you, but we'll see you next month! Can't wait! =)

does clay get the army times? if so go to the latest one and read the article in the back cover. it's from a wife about patriotism and veterans day. it's awesome and i think it captures the army wife and why things like that get to us in a way others can't understand.
