last day at the playroom

Today was the last day at the playroom in town. The owner is about to have a baby and we hope she can open it back up in a few months. We went with some friends and Vera had a blast. Check out the quick video of her laugh. My favorite sound in the world!

verdict is in...

I gave Vera a haircut this week. We decided we are going to grow it out. She just got her ends trimmed and we are going to try and grow the bangs too......

snuggle bear

I think Great Grandma Dreyer got this bear for Vera!?
Our nighttime routine is to get a bottle and watch a Baby Einstein. Clay and I love it because she snuggles with us and calms down. Tonight she brought her bear with her to watch too! I thought it was cute and worth sharing!

silly girls

Vera was playing with Daddy's sunglasses. She thinks she is so funny so I snapped some photos! I love my silly girl!

just like mommy

Vera's favorite thing to do is vacuum with Mommy and sweep with her broom. Clay went out this weekend and got her a vacuum, broom, dust pan, fake cleaning supplies and a grocery cart! She is just like her Mommy! Now we can clean together....

dreyer's day

We drove down to Panama City with our friends to visit my Granparents. The Koontz's stayed with us this summer at my Grandparents when she was pregnant so it was time to show the little one off!

just like daddy

Most everyone knows she does not get this thrill of cell phones from me. I hate to talk on the phone and the phone she has only works if you dial 911 for emergency. Clay could not be more opposite. He has his blue tooth cemented to his ear and would talk on it 24-7 if I would let him. Dad had to capture this photo!

army flier

I take Vera to a Tots/Parents class on Fridays at the Community Youth Center her on Fort Rucker. There happened to be a photographer there and Vera’s picture was selected for the article selection. Grandparent make some room on your refridgerator for this one!

blonde ambition

For the first time in 27 years I have colored my hair. Believe me I am the expert on knowing how hard this is to achieve. I have been coloring clients hair for 9 years now. I have been called many names when I tell them my blonde is natural...
I was born with no hair and when it came in it was see through like most kids. Except, I was fortunate enough to stay blonde. I even kept the blonde through puberty. When Vera was born I got a strip of dark hair but it seemed to grow back blonde after her birth. But since I have been pregnant with Charlie the blonde is history. I am hoping this is just temporary during my pregnancy...
I got the worst haircut ever. She cut my layers too short and took the remaining blonde I had off. Than I got a million comments about how dark my hair was in my last belly shot. That is when I knew I had to take action. Good thing I can do it myself and save some $$!
I am sad that I had to color my hair and afraid that I opened up a new can of worms... We shall see!

what mommy?

I love the last photo when she looks back at me a smiles? It's like she is saying what mommy? This is why Vera has bumps and bruises everywhere, she can't sit still. I wonder where she gets that from Daddy?....

ouchy momma

Ouchy Momma...
I usually find a bruise or scrap on Vera everyday. She is all over the place and a very busy baby.
Today she was walking on our driveway which is a hill. As you can see she has not mastered the hill yet....
I think she was more scared than hurt. My poor baby has a boo boo....
This is another reason Mommy likes bangs but I think by the votes I am being out numbered...

shoes

This post is for my Mom and Dad...
When I was young I used to love to play with my shoes and shoe laces. I loved to untie and retie them. I thought this would bring back some for my parents!
Like Mother Like Daughter!!!!!!!!!!!

haircut???

Clay wants to cut Vera's hair into a cute bob with no bangs. I want to grow her hair out with bangs. I never thought I would be dealing with this at such a young age! SO MUCH HAIR!!!! Vote on the right to help us out!

getting older

It seems like Vera is doing something new everyday...
-As you saw in the last video she can point to many body parts and loves to talk. Too bad we can't understand a thing she says?
-These photos are of Vera matching the shapes in the right slots. Daddy worked hard with her last night and she loved it!
-Daddy taught Vera to climb up her little rocking chair alone a few weeks ago. Today we found her climbing up the couch. Now we really have to keep an eye on her... When she climbs up she likes to stand and do her SO BIG pose!
-She went from walking to running....
-Clay came home one night to me crying. (not unusual when I am pregnant) but it was because Vera doesn't need my help eating anymore. I can sit across the table from her and eat with her.
-She has a ton of teeth too. She is getting the hardest teeth right now, her eye teeth. One is halfway through and the other one is about to break through. She has a mouth full!
I am so in love with the stage she is in! SO MUCH FUN!!!! I hope you guys are enjoying it too through the site?

body parts

Vera is getting good at pointing at certain body parts. She has been pointing at ours for months now but never her own until now. Although her attention spane is very short I managed to capture some for you. She can point at her nose, eyes, mouth and belly but only got nose and belly for the video. ENJOY!

who needs sippy cups when you got mommy

I always wanted my Mom's drink when I was younger, or maybe still for that matter...
She always drank ice tea and I loved it. Vera is no different, she loves my water. I got this water bottle when I was in labor with Vera. It holds a lot of water and is my source of 90 oz. of water a day minus that amount that Vera drinks from it!

Vera had her first gymnastics class today! Clay got to join us too which was such a treat.... Lot's of adorable kids and I think 95% of the Mom's were pregnant too! Something in the water down here......
