happy thanksgiving

Vera's God Father came up for his third annual Thanksgiving at the casa de Duncan! We had a quiet Thanksgiving and for the first time ever I cooked. Clay and Chris deep fried an amazing turkey! There are usually some amazing women in our lives who love to cook so all I have to do is host. This year I did it all homemade by myself! For some of you its not big deal but for a fist timer I was proud!!!!!

pensacola marathon

 WE DID IT! Clay, Dave, Felix and I decided to run in the Pensacola Marathon. I was the only smart one and decided to do the half marathon! It was an amazing weekend and a great experience! Minus some major stomach issues at mile 10... I finished and found out I ran on a stress fractured foot.... I ran in 2 hr and 10 minutes and surpassed my goal of "just finishing"! With that said I have already committed to doing the Army 10-miler next year with my friend Jess and really considering doing a full next time.
Not sure if Clay feels the same way... Might have to ask him after his muscles recuperate!

happy 4th birthday vera

My baby turned 4 this week! It feels like yesterday she entered the world and now she is getting so big. She had a wonderful birthday with many surprises! My Mom flew in Friday night to surprise Vera for her birthday. Grandma Carol is one of V's favorite people in the whole wide world (sometims she even beats out me!)She woke up to her Saturday morning and the festivities never stopped after that. We had a great ice cream themed  party at our favorite, Milky Moo's and while we were there her Granny Candy and Nana arrived. To top it off her Uncle Dave came too! She is one popular girl!
