Words cannot describe how proud I am of my husband. Clay was selected to become a Major in the United States Army. He got to pin on Major early due to being selected below zone. This is a huge accomplishment and we are so PROUD of him!
We had a ceremony and reception at Fort Rucker Golf Club. We had a great turn out and the most exciting guest was the commanding general of Fort Rucker, COL Crutchfield who just pinned on his second star! This is not something that happens often so we were in shock and super excited for him to be their to support us!
Clay also got to pin on senior wings. He has had them for a while but wanted to have Gary Pryne pin them on him! He also asked his old Commander, Lt Col Garry Thompson to pin on his Major rank. He has been so influential in our military career. Clay's last ORB (report card)that Clay received from Thompson, he said he would let Clay lead his son into war, WOW those are strong words!
