hiking in montana

We arrived in Montana on Thursday afternoon. Our three flights were uneventful and Vera was a trooper. After a nice dinner out the Duncan Family crashed. Fridy we took a hike in the mountains to Pink Creek Trail. It was so beautiful and Vera's first time seeing the snow. Thanks Uncle Scott and Aunt Lisa for the wonderful down filled Gap snowsuit. Vera was bundled up and enjoyed the trip in her backpack. Don't worry I was very careful in the snow and drank lots of water so baby #2 was just fine! We walked up to a waterfall that was frozen but still breathtaking. A big change from our 80 degree weather in Alabama!.......

scary santa

I don't think Vera liked sitting on Santa's lap....
The funny thing is I have a photo of myself at her age doing the same thing. Clay and I expected this to happen but still wanted to capture it. Why would she want to sit on a fat man with a long white beard that she doesn't know... Soon she will know that is Santa but for now he was just a scary old man!

We are heading out of town for a few days to Montana to visit my Dad and Gen. I hope to keep you up to date while I am there! We have some fun and exciting things planned while we are there!

proud artwork

My parents would always put our artwork on the fridge. Vera loves to draw with markers and so I thought I would post them on the refrigerator!

finally on film

I always seem to miss my opportunity to get Vera walking on film. Not that she is walking all over I got some footage for you. She is starting to master getting up without any objects too. I love that she is walking now. It makes my life a lot easier! She can get wherever she wants now! Vera independant child!
