baby emma arrived

Baby Emma is here! She arrived on the 7th at 6am. Mommy and Baby are doing well. Check out the Koontz Family blog for more pictures!!!!

faster daddy faster

We got Vera this fun car for her birthday. We decided to get it out early to cheer up this sick baby. Daddy sure knows how to make her smile! Faster Daddy Faster!
We finally got to take it outside today for a short walk. She loved it!
Vera is on the mend. She woke up from her second nap jumping in her crib and talking up a storm. We are hoping for an even happier baby tomorrow! I'll keep you posted.

Mommy and baby

sorry for the lack of blogging this week. I got what Vera has and it put me out of commission. I started vomiting around midnight and drug myself into the doc for 1500ml of IV around 11:00. The OB gave me something to help me feel better and I woke up feeling myself again.
It has taken Vera a little longer to get over this bug. We are just trying to keep her hydrated which seems to be the hardest task of our lives. Clay took her to the doc yesterday and got some meds and we are hoping for a better baby today.
I have the best husband in the world. Yesterday was the first day in the 10+ years he has been in the army that he took off. I was at the doctor most of the day getting re hydrated and than lying on the couch the rest. He did a great job taking care of both of us! GO DADDY!
I will have pictures to update soon. Birthday packages are poling in!!!!

under the weather

A virus is going around like hot cakes. The good thing it doesn't last long. Poor Pumpkin got it a few nights ago. It is so hard seeing your baby vomit. She managed to hold down all her liquids and some applesause and jello yesterday.
This first picture I LOVE! I always sleep with my hand curled up just like Vera is doing. Clay saw this and had to capture it. I thought Vera was going to fall asleep in Daddy's arms last night watching her Baby Einstein before bed. We are hoping for our old Vera back today....

Vera wanted to tell you....

SURPRISE!!! I am 10 1/2 weeks pregnant. Some of you already know and some this will come as a big surprise. We have known we were pregnant for several weeks now but waited to hear the heartbeat and tell family until we shouted to the whole world.

Another miracle happened for us. GOD IS SO GOOD! Clay and I were ready to start trying for #2 and so fertility bound we were. I made an appointment with my primary doctor and she refered me to the OB and was told it would be about a 6-12 month wait for IVF. So, in the mean time Clay and I thought we would try naturally and before I made it to the OB appointment I was pregnant! The number one key is that we knew we would get pregnant and we stayed very positive!!!!!

We are so excited and could not be happier. This pregnancy has been very different from Vera. I am super super tired but not nauseous at all. I had a huge appetite with Vera and not much of one this time. We have a fabulous doctor (thanks Jess) and a wonderful birthing facility. Clay spoiled me and bought me a doppler so every morning I get to hear the heartbeat!

Come along and watch our family grow!!!!
LOVE
NADIA

This weekend was the Fort Rucker Chili Cook Off. Units and local businesses around the wiregrass come for the compitition. Clay's company entered and we went for support. All the chili was yummy and the weather was perfect. They were giving helicopter rides too. So, whomever is thinking about visiting and wants to go up in a helicopter start planning for next November!!!!
